Bajaj Auto has added another option for customers looking to purchase its flagship motorcycle called the Dominar 400. The motorcycle manufacturer unveiled a new Matte Black color variant that will add to the existing Midnight Blue, Twilight Plum and Moon Light finishes. The price for the new finish has not been changed and the new finish will be available at Rs 1.5 lakh  for the ABS and Rs 1.36 lakh for non-ABS models respectively.

The bike was launched with a single cylinder 373 cc oil cooled engine. The single cylinder engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and produces 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle can reach a speed of 100 kmph in 8.3 seconds. The Bajaj Dominar maxes out at a top speed of 148 kmph.

The Dominar 400 comes with 320 mm twin-channel disk brake on the front and 230 mm twin-channel dia-disc brakes on the rear sides.

Costumers get all-digital instrument cluster at the handles and a separate LED cluster with indicators on the tank of the bike without paying extra for the features. The design of the Bajaj Dominar 400 looks similar to a Ducati Diavel the tank and tail light setup having the most similarities.

The word Dominar has a Spanish origin and means “to dominate”.
