Flock, an enterprise communication and collaboration service, is now an exclusive channel on IFTTT. IFTTT is a service that automates tasks between two apps. When connected, one app triggers events either on demand or when a task is completed and the other app takes the action specified by the user.
Flock says that its channel enables integrations with more than 250 services and apps. This covers categories including Blogging, Business, Commerce, Fitness and Wearables, Connected Home, Lifestyle, Mobile, Music, News and Sports, Photo and Video, Productivity, and Social Networking. Flock has also published some recipes which would help users integrate apps into Flock. These include recipes for Twitter, Gmail, Instagram, GitHub, Flickr, Foursquare, NASA, Google Calendar, Medium, ESPN, Reddit, Trello, Dropbox, Location, and Weather.
Flock, via its App store, allows integrations with external work apps and services apps such as Trello, Github, Twitter, Jira, Bitbucket. The App Store integration allows for notifications from these apps directly mobilise entire Flock groups and initiate conversations among relevant stakeholders in real-time. For instance, integrating the Trello app lets teams and project managers know of changes made to boards, cards and lists. Similarly, plugging in the Twitter app ensures the marketing team receives instant alerts about what people are saying about their brand on social media. The company is aiming to provide users with all the information they need in one place. It is available for download for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Chrome.
