Apple’s Watch may be in retail stores very soon.

Last year in November, Apple executives had started planning retail strategies for the Watch, and now a 9To5Mac report suggests that the company has begun training its retail store employees on the device in multiple countries, including the US and the UK.

The training doesn’t reveal any news details, but does hint that Watch is coming to stores sooner rather than later. Apple is also believed to use traditional jewelry store tactics for its gold variant of the watch. As reported earlier, it will select a few employees for a more hands-on training of the watch over the next couple of weeks.

Late last year, Apple retail chief, Angela Ahrendts, revealed the Watch would be launched only after the Chinese New Year. She had also disclosed the fact that Apple had started planning marketing strategies, while all retail employees would be trained to help customers try out the new watch and its features.

An earlier report had also said that the training programs were to take place between February 9 and 16. A few representatives from Apple Stores in the United States were expected to be sent to the company’s offices in either Cupertino, California or Austin, Texas to learn about the smartwatch. These employees in turn are expected to train other employees in their respective stores, just when the devices are ready to hit store shelves.

Recently at the Apple’s earnings call, Tim Cook had revealed that the Apple Watch would be available in stores only by April. The Apple Watch sports a squarish design instead of a circular one popularised by Motorola’s Moto 360. The Watch is crafted from custom alloys of polished or space black stainless steel, space gray or silver anodized aluminum (Apple Watch Sport) and 18-karat rose or yellow gold (Apple Watch Edition). Going by the demo during its launch keynote, the Watch can do a lot of stuff. Here’s everything you need to know about the Apple Watch.
