A day in technology is not complete without a rumour and helping us out in satisfying that requirement is our old friend Apple.

Are you for real?

Are you for real?

Pictures posted on the Taiwanese website Apple.pro give us as sneak peek into what might be the latest in a long line of iPod nanos. According to the report, the camera on the rumoured device is a 1.3 Mega Pixel lens and that will not include a clip, unlike the current gen devices. The other thing worth mentioning is that the device in the picture seems to still be in the prototype phase and that the outer chassis is just a placeholder.

The only other iPod Nano to have a camera was the fifth-gen device, which was released way back in 2009 and came with a low resolution camera. The camera and the signature click wheel were later dropped in favour of creating a much smaller device, which had multi-touch and pedometer support, among other things.

While the website has been on the money with regards to previous leaks on iPod devices, it’s better to take this sort of news with a large pinch of salt.
