We’ve heard it a lot of times. Foxconn workers, the people involved in manufacturing the iPhone and other Apple devices, were reportedly working under inhuman conditions. Even so much that their head compared them to animals. Rumours about Apple’s Chinese factories have been going on non-stop, over the past few months. Apple recently took notice of this controversy, and their chief, Tim Cook had tried to put these rumours to rest by claiming that, “We care about every worker in our worldwide supply chain. Any accident is deeply troubling, and any issue with working conditions is cause for concern.”

Thereafter, we had news about Fair Labor Association inspecting Foxconn. And now, we’re going one step ahead in this whole saga. As reported by 9to5Mac, ABC Nightlife has been given absolute access to Apple’s Chinese supply chain. Considering how secretive Apple has been about its products and its method of operations, this one comes in as a huge surprise.  ABC’s Bill Weir recently made the journey to the Shenzhen province in China to get a never seen before sneak peek inside Apple’s Chinese supply chain factory.

What happens in Foxconn, stays in Foxconn?

What happens in Foxconn, stays in Foxconn?

Here’s what he mentioned after his visit, “For years, Apple and Foxconn have been synonymous with monster profits and total secrecy so it was fascinating to wander the iPhone and iPod production lines, meet the people who build them and see how they live. Our cameras were rolling when thousands of hopeful applicants rushed the Foxconn gates and I spoke with dozens of line workers and a top executive about everything from hours and pay to the controversies over suicides at the plant and the infamous jumper nets that line the factories in Shenzhen. After this trip, I’ll never see an Apple product the same way again.”

The feature will sadly not be available worldwide, but with YouTube around, we’re pretty sure, we’re all going to get to see what the big deal's about, in the near future. Let’s see how Apple fares in this acid test.
