Acer unveiled two new Android based smartphones recently – the beTouch E120 and the beTouch E130. They will both be running on versions 1.6 Donut.
The E120 with it’s ST Ericsson 416MHz processor features –
- A 2.8-inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution
- 3G connectivity, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth with A2DP and USB 2.0
- 3MP camera
- FM radio
- MicroSD card slot
- 3.5mm audio jack
The second handset, the beTouch E130 has all the same features save a few. It’s a candy-bar QWERTY device, which is a first for the Android market, and has a 2.6-inch display which is also a touchscreen with the same resolution as the E120. Acer apps like UrFooz and Acer Spinlets will be preloaded. Let's hope they fare better than the Liquid, it certainly seems like they would cost less.
According to reports both of these devices will be out sometime in Q3 of this year and will be available in black and white models. The E120 should hit the shelves in mid-July, while its E130 is expected in August. Pricing has yet to be announced.
