ADATA Technology, a manufacturer of DRAM modules and NAND Flash storage application products, has launched the DashDrive HV610 external hard drive. The DashDrive HV610 combines a unique picture puzzle design concept with a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface. A removable cover provides a convenient way to store the transmission cable.
The exterior of the HV610 body comes in choice of two monochrome patterns, each with interlocking shiny and matte puzzle piece lines, and a matching USB cable stored in the ice-blue cover.
Compared with USB 2.0 in file reads, writes, or data backups, performance of the USB 3.0 interface is improved, reducing the required transmission time. The HV610 has a sliding outer shell that holds the USB cable when not in use and is a practical solution to cable-management. The HV610 external hard drive comes in capacities of 500GB, 750GB and 1TB, and a choice of black and white colours.

Earlier this year, ADATA had launched the 2.5-inch S510 SSD in India. The S510 uses the new generation SandForce SF-2200 series controller that comes with native support for the SATA 6GB/s platform. The S510 is capable of reaching 550MB read speed and 510MB write speed, with 4K random write speeds as high as 85,000 IOPS. It promises to offer both desktop and notebook computers with high-speed experience. Solid state drives do not require defragmentation and support the Windows TRIM command. The S510 is vibration-free, and consumes low power. It has 6GB bandwidth transmission capability.
This 2.5-inch drive measures 100mm x 69.85mm x 9.5mm and weighs 76 grams. It delivers multimedia data transfers with read speed up to 200 MB/s and write speed of 75 MB/s. It operates at temperature ranging from 0°C to 70°C and storage temperature from -40°C to 85°C. The technical specification sheet also reveals a power consumption of 4.7W in active and 0.6W in Idle, while it offers 1500G shock resistance. The SSD also has a 120GB storage space option.
