Adobe has gone ahead and made one final, major update for Android devices. The latest version of Flash Player 11.1 (188.8.131.52) adds support for the next Android update – Ice Cream Sandwich. Adobe has made it clear that the new update has no major features, but offers basic fixes to bugs related to stability and performance. There should be fewer compatibility issues, too. Adobe has also decided to stop development of their Flash player for the Android platform. It was expected that there would be no more major changes coming to the flash player. HTML5 seems to be the preferred platform and even Adobe has gotten onboard.
Flash Player 11.1 brings support for ICS
Flash hasn’t been supported by a lot of vendors. For example, Metro UI on Flash will not support it. Apple’s iOS, too doesn’t support Flash. If you haven’t already installed Flash Player, you can find it on the Android market. Details of the update can be found on Adobe’s site.
