October is a big month for Microsoft with the launch of the Windows 8 and the new Surface tablet. Ahead of the launch the software-giant has put out the first official television advertisement for the Surface tablet. You can check out the entire ad below.
The advertisement titled, Movement, seems straight out of an episode from Glee. As soon as the main guy takes out his Surface and docks it with the keyboard, a ‘movement’ of sort starts with people dancing and jumping with the new tablet. The background music seems very anthemish – since they are calling it a movement in the ad. Hopefully Surface will live up to the expectations and prove a worthy competitor to the iPad and other tablets out there.
The Surface Tablet was announced in June this year. It is only 9.3 millimetres thick, and runs the Windows RT version on an ARM processor from Nvidia. Windows RT is a version of Windows 8 for tablets with ARM processors.
Surface also comes with a kickstand to hold it upright and a touch keyboard cover that snaps on, using magnets. The device will cost about as much as the iPad. Each tablet comes with a keyboard cover that is just 3 millimeters thick.
