After Jio announced that it would continue its free services under the new Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. Other operators woke up and put up countermeasures in the form of new and attractive calling and data plans.
Airtel has launched three new prepaid plans, with a Rs 244 pack, a Rs 399 pack and a new Rs 345 pack.
With the Rs 244 plan, Airtel users will get 1GB data per day, that will remain valid for 70 days provided they have a 4G smartphone and 4G SIM card. The plans comes with unlimited STD and local calls with a maximum of 300 minutes of calls per day between Airtel to Airtel numbers. Add to this 1,200 minutes of free calls on the network for a whole week. Go beyond the free call minutes and users will get charged Rs 0.10 per minute.
Next up is the Rs 399 pack that offers users 1GB of data daily. Since this pack is slight more expensive than the 244 pack, Airtel has set bigger limit of 3,000 minutes over a 70-day period. Again, there’s 300 minutes per day and 1,200 minutes of calls per week between Airtel to Airtel numbers like the Rs 244 pack.
Lastly there’s the new Rs 345 pack that gives users a rather competitive plan with 2GB of data usage per day. Other details with regards to calling remain identical to the Rs 399 pack.
However, there’s a catch. Existing subscribers will need to login the My Airtel app of check the Airtel website to see if they are eligible for the 244 and 399 plans.
Reliance Jio has updated its website and MyJio with the latest offer that will replace the now discontinued ‘Jio Summer Surprise Offer’.
