AMD today quietly announced the launch of their 6700 series of Graphics Cards. The new GPUs, the HD6750 and HD6770 look more like re-branded HD 5750 and 5770 cards and even have the same specs.
The HD 6770 packs in 800 stream processors with a 128-bit memory interface and GDDR5 memory. Other features include DirectX 11 support, Eyefinity support and HDMI 1.4a. The HD 6750 on the other hand has 720 stream processors with everything else staying the same as the 6770.
AMD has clearly stated on their website that the new GPUs are based on the HD 5700 series hardware. But even then, the inclusion of HDMI 1.4a, support for AMD's HD3D technology and OpenGL 4.1 hardly make it seem worth the effort of switching to the 6700 series,
