The Apple iPhone 4S has hit stores in a few countries just a few days ago. The second wave of countries to receive the iPhone 4S has not even begun yet. But as with all things Apple and most notably the iPhone, the rumours never stop. According to a report by CNET, an analyst at Rodman & Renshaw, Ashok Kumar has claimed that the iPhone 4S was not Steve Jobs last project instead it was the next generation iPhone – the iPhone 5.
And the rumours have already begun!
Kumar states that the iPhone 5 “was the last project that Steve Jobs was intimately involved with from concept to final design. For that reason…this product will establish the high water mark for iPhone volumes.” Apart from this, he says that the next iPhone would be a ‘cult classic’ because of it being the final project of Steve Jobs. Kumar states that the iPhone 5 will feature a slimmer profile and similar dimensions as compared to the iPhone 4S but it will have a larger screen than the iPhone 4S. He expects the iPhone 5 to also feature LTE technology, something that is missing on the present iPhone.
CNET reports that another source has informed them that the iPhone 5 will have a complete redesign and this was the project Steve Jobs spent a lot of time on. The source goes on to say that he did not spend much time on the iPhone 4S as his time was limited. According to Kumar, it is believed that the iPhone 5 would make its appearance at the Apple's Developer's Conference in the summer of 2012.
