Windows Phone users who’ve been feeling left out – thanks to the lack of updates for Angry Birds Star Wars on the platform – are in for a treat. Rovio has started to push out Cloud City and Bobba Fett update for the Windows Phone 8 version of the app.

Windows Phone 8 users who have been languishing in the corner for lack of updates ever since the game launched are going to be a happy lot with this update coming in. There have been 20 new levels added to Cloud City for users to explore and play with. As far as Bobba Fett Missions go, you can activate it by collecting all hidden rocket packs in the previous levels.

This update means that players of Angry Birds Star Wars on Windows Phone 8 are at par with Android and iOS users. You can grab the game for Rs 55 on the Windows Phone Store and start launching the lightsaber wielding birds.

Meanwhile, the original Angry Birds game was relaunched for Windows Phone 7.5 and 8 at the beginning of this month with about 100 new levels. This takes the total number of levels in the game to 400.

The game is completely free to download for another couple of days, an offer that ends on May 15. Rest assured, this is a completely different download and will not wipe away your progress or old game. Rovio had also stated that this re-release will make it technically easier to provide support for this game in the future. You can download Angry Birds for your Windows Phone for free till May 15 from the Windows Phone Store.
