RIM has been pretty subtle with their revealing about CDMA smartphones and later with the software upgrades that they’ll be coming out with. So, not leaving the GSM counterparts behind, there’s another roadmap – this time containing GSM smartphones, which has been found by sources.
GSM smartphone from RIM
From the roadmap, the BlackBerry PlayBook comes as no surprise obviously. But the BlackBerry Dakota has been scheduled for a time-period between May and June and along with it, the BlackBerry Torch 2 which it says as “under consideration” is also slated to be launching at about the same time. Finally the BlackBerry Apollo (or Curve as it might be called otherwise) might launch in July or August.
Looking at all these plans, Research in Motion has planned (or looked to plan) an awesome year in 2011. With all these smartphones and software coming in, people looking at buying their favorite BBM device will have a plethora of options to choose from. Of course that might depend on whether this year doesn’t end up being SuperDoom!
