It seems that Apple’s latest pride and joy moneymaker, the iPad2 is already exhibiting early stress signs. Like the iPhone 4’s Antenna Gate issue that caused users, who were ‘holding it wrong’ to lose reception, the iPad appears to have a slight light leakage problem.
The iPad 2 is out now
It’s not as serious as it may sound and there’s every possibility that this will not be a permanent problem and will simply fade away over time. Either that or you’ll simply get used to it and won’t even notice it. What issue could be because of the adhesive that’s been used to seal the display hasn’t yet bonded too well with the rear backlit LCD and is thus leaking a little bit of light. The video that Crunchgear uploaded very clearly depicts the leakage.
It doesn’t appear to be too much but it could be enough for hardcore fans/users and those with an eye for detail would have problems with. Still, it’s just a matter of time before it’s proves itself to be no more than a petty nuisance to the uber picky users or it simply dissipates and vanishes into thin air. Either ways, I still don’t see this affecting sales in the least.
