Apple Inc. had to change its 'no-cash' policy after Diane Campbell got the media involved while attempting to purchase an iPad. Apple introduced the 'credit and debit cards only' policy after the release of the iPhone in 2007. The policy was aimed at keeping the customers within their two-device limits so as to deal with the demand for the product as well as to keep it off the black market. The policy was touted as 'anti-American' and 'anti-disadvantaged'.
