2010 has been a great year for technology, then again, what year isn’t. Novel and innovative ideas are making the news on an hourly basis across the globe. While some of these ‘innovations’ might actually take a more serious stand in the grand scheme of this, the technology age, there are those that simply warrant the question – Is this creative or just plain crazy? Here are some of the things that we just couldn’t make our minds up about that we saw this year. Maybe you have a better opinion.

Tron Cat Suit
With onslaught of Tron merchandise making its way into all kinds of genres, here’s one that didn’t get missed but could have. I haven’t seen any animals in the videogame styled sci-fi movie so far but I guess if there were kitty here would be a front runner for the role, seeing as she’s all suited up and ready to go. I wonder though, did anyone ask kitty if she wanted to get into the grid? Or is this just some crazy or creative fan’s idea of showing their support for the movie?

Get your cat into the grid

Beer Chucking iPhone App – What every guys needs
Who out there doesn’t love a good beer right? But isn’t it annoying when you’re comfortably lazing about in your recliner and find your self craving the bubbly brew and you realize you’ll have to get off your butt and head all the way over to the kitchen fridge a good 30 steps away to get one? Not anymore. One beer loving, iPhone toting developer got it into his head to come up with a Beer chucking fridge that can be controlled via an iPhone app. The app even uses a webcam so you can aim the ‘chucker’ right at you. I have got to get me one of these. Is this crazy or is this creative?!

Actual Face-Shifting Rorschach Mask
– Be mysterious for your local physicatrist
If you’re a comic book fan or plain old movie buff then you’ve either read or watched The Watchmen. Out of all the colorful characters in the epic story Rorschach is definitely the most hardcore and his famous changing mask makes for a very interesting secret identity. I’m not going to spoil the secret of his mask for you in case you haven’t read the book yet. However trying to duplicate the superpowers or gadgets of our favorite comic book characters has been a dream of science for a long time and here’s a guy who’s managed to duplicate (to an extent) the changing ink blot patterns like the ones on Rorschach’s mask using a special paint called Thermochromic paint. Let’s just hope he doesn’t decide to dawn an overcoat and hat and take the bad guys to the cleaners.

Realistic iPhone Costume

When you’re an Apple fan things tend to be a little over the top when it comes to doing something around your favorite company. Trust me I know, I have a few around me for most of my work day. Take this guy here though, he’s so in love with his iPhone that he created an almost fully functional large scale replica of what can arguably be known as Apple’s fastest selling device. Not only did he do just that he even made it wearable so he could parade around town showing off just how much in love he is with the company.

For die hard iPhone fans

80 Ports USB Charger Board
This particular piece of hardware simply baffles me. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be used for an entire office level or if there’s one human being out there that makes use of all the 80 ports. I mean really, how many gadgets would you have in one place that you’d need to charge at the same time.

For those with gadgets galore
