With CES 2011 only a week away, Asus has decided to tease consumers about their new product. With only a teaser video go to by, the new tablet ‘EP121’ will have a 12-inch touch screen which is quite large for a tablet, as the rest usually stop at 10 inches. The video also shows the device having a HDMI output, along with a webcam for video chat as well as a USB port.
The video shows the EP121 having an SD card slot, full HD video playback as well as support for books, games and music. While all this may sound great, what is even amazing is that the devices maybe powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and have Windows 7 as the OS. With this combination, a 12-inch screen makes a lot of sense as the tablet can be converted into a makeshift Netbook or desktop via a dock (which can be seen in the video).
While there is no official announcement on price or availability, you can be sure that CES will give us the lowdown on this interesting little tablet. You can view the teaser video below.
