So you’re thinking of getting some ink done and wondering what you should get. You could be like me and just choose the first design you like or you could just let someone else choose it for you if you can’t make up your mind. Or why not just a let a machine make the choice for you? What, you say? There’s this artist called Chris Eckert who’s actually gone a step ahead of tattoo artists and created a machine called Auto Ink that draws tattoos. Not only does it automatically draw tattoos, it randomly selects a design. Oh wait, it gets even better. The randomly selected design is always a religious symbol. Speechless yet?
The artist first started out with a ball point pen and worked his way up to adding a proper tattoo gun to the machine. Now I’m not religious, but I don’t think I’d feel too comfortable with a machine choosing a random religious tattoo for me. But this is a work in progress and I’m sure (read: hopeful) that Mr. Eckert will come up with a machine that lets you choose your own tattoos.
