Some say the age of the laptop is coming to an end, but we’d like to disagree. What with so many classy laptops making their way to India this year. We scoured through all the launches and found three that we think are worth your hard-earned cash.
Winner: Sony VAIO Pro 13
Sony’s sleek 13-incher won our hearts the minute we laid eyes on it. The dark carbon fibre exterior is easy on the eyes and adds a measure of durability that’s been missing from past Sony efforts. The high-resolution screen with immaculate viewing angles and the loud ‘stealth’ speakers make for a great multimedia viewing package too.

Second place: Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series
This one is currently in our labs waiting our test routine, but we are already in love with how it looks and what it contains. The exterior is made out of thin forged aluminum design and the chamfered edges make it look sophisticated. With Intel Haswell guts, and 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT750M discrete graphics, the notebook will not be found lacking for firepower at all.

Third place: Apple MacBook Pro 13 with Retina
There’s always room for a MacBook Pro when it comes to high-end laptops. Toting a Retina display, Haswell internals and OS X Mavericks, the Macbook Pro is one mean machine. While gamers out there will scoff at our choice, the MacBook Pro is best for creative professionals (photographers, graphic designers, writers) who want the best software tools and hassle-free Apple hardware to work on the go. And if you are already invested in the Apple ecosystem, the MacBook Pro makes much more sense than any Windows PC.
