RIM has brought out a much needed overhaul for the BB App World and the new 3.0 Beta is now available to users for download and try. This is only available in some countries and luckily India is one of them. All you need to do is head over to the BlackBerry Beta Zone and sign up if you haven’t already. The new store looks a lot more modern and fresh and seems to be on the right track.
A bold new look
The first change you’ll notice is the completely redesigned home screen with a new search bar on the top that lets you directly search for a particular app. It also lets you search by name, price, rating, newest, best match and popular for more refined searches. Below this, we have a carousel that shows the latest and most popular apps similar to the Android Marketplace. Stepping into a particular category, you’ll find the new app detail look, which now gives you app summaries, screenshots, reviews, all in one screen. You can also share a particular app you like directly on Twitter, Facebook, Email, SMS or BBM. If you own a BlackBerry, head over to the link above and give it a try.
