The Call of Juarez series has been around for over half a decade now but it’s still never managed to become as popular as other franchises on the block. The first game was a bit rough around the edges but it had potential. Developer Techland fully realized that potential with Bound in Blood, the sequel but completely lost the plot the third time with The Cartel.
Outlaws till the end
Today as part of Steam’s deal of the day, they’re giving Bound in Blood at a whopping 75% discount bringing the price down to just $5 (Rs. 235). Bound in Blood serves as a prequel to the first game in which you play as one of two McCall brothers on the run from the law after they abandon the Confederate army to protect their family. Without spoiling too much for you, I’d say this game is the best of the lot with some well paced action and stellar voice acting. Of course, it’s not as good as Red Dead Redemption but it’s still worth checking out especially if you’re a fan of the Wild West genre.
