The Centaur Hotel’s website http://centaurhotels.com/ appears to have been compromised in what can be the malfunctioning of the hotel's security systems. Details like passports, driving licenses, pan card numbers, credit cards, and other forms of personal identification provided by their guests were viewable by visitors of the site. When the visitors tried to access the reservation page of the hotel’s website, they were redirected to a page containing all confidential files.

According to a report by the Times of India, 52 copies of user’s personal information were viewable on the site. The page went offline when the security loopholes became known to the hotel. The Centaur Hotel is a part of the Hotel Corporation of India that is a fully owned subsidiary of the National Aviation Company of India, under the management of which also comes India’s national carrier, Air India.
