Following the launch of AMD’s Fusion APUs, Acer have been quick to follow up with the launch of two laptops – the Aspire 4253 and the Aspire 5253 – powered by the very same APUS. The laptops are powered by the new AMD E-Series Accelerated Processing Units (APU) and the VISION Engine from AMD, enabling stutter-free HD movies and HD Internet video streaming, enough processing power to handle even the most demanding applications, DirectX 11 capable graphics and extended battery life.
The Aspire x253 series comes with Clear.fi, Acer’s new media sharing system. Clear.fi is a cross-platform solution that works straight out of the box, automatically detecting the Clear.fi-enabled devices connected to the wireless home network and then allowing all digital content stored on any of these to be shared seamlessly using the Clear.fi media interface.
The Aspire 4253 is a 14-inch laptop, whereas the Aspire 5253 is a 15.6-inch one and both laptops support a resolution of 1920×1080. The laptops also feature HDMI ports, DDR3 Memory, card readers, Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth.
Both laptops will go on sale starting Q2 2011 and the Aspire 5253 is priced at around Rs. 20,300 ($449). We'll update you as soon as we find out the Aspire 4253's price.
