Samsung Electronics America Inc. introduced the Central Station from CES 2011 show. The Central Station has been designed to allow easy connectivity to components in the typical IT workspace, which includes a notebook, display, network and audio-video outputs. It’s available in 23 and 27-inch wired and wireless configurations. Think of it like a dock for your laptop. The wireless models will allow for even simpler setups in a 1m radius where no cords will be needed to be connected. The Central Station can also double as a second display alongside a connected laptop. With support for both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connections, the Central Station should be capable of fast data transfers. The HDMI input will enable users to connect Blu-ray players, set top boxes, or gaming devices to the 1080p display. External speakers can also be connected to the Central Station.
