WeP and Memjet have announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) today that they’re launching what they claim to be the world’s fastest office colour laser printer. The printer will be able to print out 60 pages per minute.
The printer technology is originally Memjet’s creation, but will be incorporated into the printer sold under the WeP brand name with a tag saying “powered by Memjet”. Memjet-powered printers provide both color and speed by putting more than 70,000 ink nozzles on a single printhead. The 8.77-inch printhead spans the width of a page, allowing the printers to deliver more than 700 million drops of ink per second on a page.
“We are delighted to bring the triple benefits of quality color, speed and affordability to our customer base,” said Ram N. Agarwal, Managing Director and CEO of WeP. “The breakthrough Memjet technology truly is a game-changer and aligns with our customer focus to provide products developed with the best technologies at affordable prices.”
Memjet have a video up showcasing the printer’s prowess. Check it out below.
