Clock Speeds of AMD FX-Series CPUs Revealed while we’ve been receiving information about AMD’s FX CPUs in small doses in the past couple of months. We now have a clearer idea of the entire series including the clock speeds and everything. The news comes from German site DonanimHaber who’ve managed to get their hands on a leaked table showing all the details.

Their flagship chip, the FX-8150 runs at a pretty high 3.6GHz with a Turbo Core frequency of up to 4.2GHz. This is quite an achievement for AMD considering it’s a 8-core CPU with just a 125W TDP. The numbering scheme thankfully makes it easy to figure out which SKU the CPU belongs to. For instance, all FX-81xx chips will have eight cores, FX-61xx have six cores and FX-41xx are quad-cores. All these CPUs are based on the new Zambezi 32nm fabrication and will comply with the new AM3+ socket. The entire FX series will come with unlocked multipliers as well to aid in overclocking.
