Google's new phones have always been highly anticipated as they usually carry the best hardware and software available. And artists and fans alike have been coming up with concept renders and designs of what the upcoming smartphones might look like. There have been a ton of renders surrounding Apple devices and more recently, a render of what the Samsung Galaxy S III would look like emerged before it was released. This time around, an artist has taken it upon himself to come up with a concept design of the next Nexus smartphone from Google.

Is this a glimpse of what mey come?

Quite a good looking concept render

As per a post on Concept Phones, the author, Thrystan, states, “After so many Nokia and Apple concepts, here’s a device focused on the Google experience. This is the Next Galaxy Nexus, or maybe you want to dub it Galaxy Nexus 2. I supposed it’s made by Samsung, since the designer didn’t mention that aspect, although some elements of its design make me think about Motorola.”

From the looks of it, it does have some resemblance to handsets released by Motorola with this render featuring the angular lines on the face found on the RAZR smartphones. This concept phone is one good looking gadget, and if Google does intend to launch a device that looks like this model, I feel it may literally fly off the shelves based solely on the design.

Besides the seriously good looks, there are a host of specifications for about this device. The handset features a five-inch edge-to-edge display that is finished with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The real Galaxy Nexus comes equipped with 16 GB of storage capacity and this concept model features a minimum of 32GB of onboard storage. The handset comes loaded with 8GB of RAM and features connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 with MHL. This handset also features USB on-the-go, as well as HSDPA 42 Mbps connectivity. As for the camera found here, the model sports a 12 MP primary camera with LED flash. 1080p video capture at 30 fps is also available and the author notes that the camera is capable of “autofocus, LED flash and simultaneous HD video and image recording, touch focus, image stabilization and face and smile detection.”

The device features a 2 MP front-facing camera with 720p video capture at 30 fps during video calling. With quad-core being the norm for flagship handsets, the website reports, “As the brain of the smartphone, we have the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core 2GHz processor, with GPU ULP GeForce.”
