The Cowon D3 Plenue portable media player might have shipped with Android 2.1 Eclair, but it didn’t ship with the Android Market because the device was produced at a time when Google were still unwilling to give out Market Certification for devices without Cellular Radio. The D3, however, has gotten itself a hack that lets you use Android Market on the device, according to Anything But iPod.

All’s not well though, because the D3’s rather off-beat processor means compatibility issues with apps. Angry Birds, for example, doesn’t work on the Plenue, which might be a disappointment to quite some people. So you might just want to check app compatibility before you shell out some hard-earned cash for them.

Anyway, you can check out more info and the full instructions here. Be careful, however.
