It seems that Android is becoming a hot favourite in the tablet OS space. Creative recently announced a pair of tablets (7 and 10 inch versions) christened the “ZiiO Pure Wireless” and a handheld media player dubbed the “Zen Touch 2”.

The tablets will make use of Android 2.1 (Eclair), will be powered by Creative's ZiiLabs ZMS-08 processor and include Creative's X-Fi technology.The company claims a superior audio experience and seamless Bluetooth stereo pairing. The press release states you can download apps to the ZiiO “from the Internet and ZiiStore.” No mention was made of access to the Android Market.

The ZiiO will come in 7 and 10 inch versions with screen resolutions of 800×480 pixels and 1,024×600 pixels, respectively. Both come in 8GB or 16GB capacities.The ZiiO tablets will retail for $278 for the 7 inch version, while the 10 inch version starts at $332.
