The spiritual successor to one of the PlayStation 3’s first multiplayer only games, Warhawk has been announced and it goes by the name of Starhawk. Unlike its predecessor, it will boast of a single player campaign along with large scale multiplayer with support for up to 32 players. New to this franchise is the inclusion of something called Build and Battle that will basically allow players to build certain items like bunkers, vehicles etc. giving this action game a tinge of RTS (Real Time Strategy) elements.
Here’s the skinny on the single player campaign according to gamepro, “In single player, you take on the role of Emmett Graves, a space miner infected with “rift energy,” a powerful energy source which can be used for space flight, building and all manner of other cool things — oh, and it is also fatal to humans. Except Graves, of course, who has a device that conveniently not only renders him immune but also allows him to harness the energy's power in an effort to save the galaxy from the Outcasts, this week's Evil Antagonist Force.”
