EA Sports is looking to widen its horizon by including another sport into its list of various games it has developed in the sports genre. This time, it is going to be the famous mixed martial arts game, UFC, which will debut on the next-generation gaming consoles.
The developer yesterday released the first look of the game and going by the trailer, it promises to be more than just another fighting game for the sports genre. Running on the new Ignite engine, this game is expected to provide a fighter’s perspective to the gamer.
The various features, included in this game, are expected to enhance the gaming experience and bring more realistic feel into the game. Features like “Precision Movement”, “Real-Time Exertion”, “Real Damage” and “Full Body Deformation” are expected to provide a gameplay that would replicate the body pain, movements and the damages that a kick-boxer has to bear and adapt while inside the caged ring.
However, it could be the “MMAi” feature that could draw a difference between EA Sports UFC and other games belonging to the same genre. This feature allows a fighter to change his strategies during a fight based on his opponent's movements.
With the kicks and the punches being highlighted on the fighter’s body, the game could provide a superior viewing experience. While the “Unprecedented Fighter Likeness” will assure that the game carries a photo-realistic image of all the licensed fighters, “Dynamic Striking” will give life to every kick and punch in the game that is expected to be launched in early 2014.
