Just when you thought the Android Facebook app had finally caught up with its iPhone counterpart, the iPhone version leaps back into the lead – via an update to version 3.3.3. According to IntoMobile, the new version doesn’t make any groundbreaking changes, but whatever’s included is noteworthy.
The 3.3.3 update fixes the issue users have had with frequent crashes and also improves the reliability of the chat, along with a new interface for notifications. It also lets you post on pages you’re an admin for again – which we’re sure was something that drove quite a few people nuts.
The update is available on the updates panel of the App Store, whereas new users will have to make their way to its iTunes page here. Oh and unfortunately, there’s still no mention on a new version for the iPad so if you were waiting for that one, you’re going to be waiting for a while longer.
The list of changes in the update are as follows:
- Improved reliability in chat and messages
- Improved notifications UI
- Fixed memory usage
- Fixed some crashes
- Walls you cannot post on no longer show the text field at the top
- Restore ability to post as a page that you admin
- Fixed group photos
- Various Places improvements
