Like every other year Mother’s Day falls on 14 May. And just like last year, Facebook is back in action, just in time for Mother’s Day as well. The social media network has re-launched its flowers reaction, which is similar to the one it launched last year. This time however, Facebook’s “thankful” flowers reaction features purple flowers when one reaches out to pick a reaction to a post.

Facebook users all over the world will be able to see and use the re-launched Mother’s Day special flowers reaction button to express their gratitude on the social network that connects millions.

According to CNET, the reaction has been tweaked a bit. If users choose the flowers reaction on mobile, purple flowers pop up and surround the post instead of just one flower near the reaction button.

Facebook will also add Mother’s  Day-themed masks and frames to its camera app, which should also appear in its Messenger app. Indeed, the second may seem like an approach which was taken up by competitor Snap, but let’s not go there right now.

Mother’s Day is a big deal for Facebook. CNET reported that the company on the occassion drove more posts in one day than any other topic on social media, with more than 105 million Mother’s Day posts.
