It hasn't been long, since Facebook made Timeline a mandatory feature across the profiles of its 850 million stronghold, and now, come March 30th, it is going to make it a norm for business pages, too. When the Timeline feature first rolled out, last year, it became of one of Facebook's most talked about features. Discussions grew even thicker when Facebook decided to make the feature mandatory for its users. Now, users have been receiving messages on their profiles, as they login, informing them about the impending change. The message reveals that if users want, then they can switch over to their Timeline mode on their business page, rightaway to get a feel and check a preview of how it looks; all of this till the feature would uniformly roll out across all business pages on Facebook on March 30th.

Here's a quick look at what Facebook plans to bring in, by the way of the Timeline users with business pages:
To begin with, like it is for profiles, Timeline on business pages, too will have a slot for the profile image, and a wide expanse for the cover image; both of which would lend an aesthetic appeal to the page. Additionally, to make some stories stand out in their timeline, users can 'star' them. Adding a star on any post, implies that the post is an important one; and a starred post will expand to cover a wide screen. Users can also pin posts on their page. A pinned post, essentially is one, which the admin chooses to display at the top left of the page's timeline, which is a prominent position and can be identified by looking for a flag icon. Business pages can also have milestones, added to them, which will, as the term suggests, highlight key events in the brand's existence on Facebook.

Additionally, users can also change the way posts appear on their page, in terms of their order, below the cover. Users can widen the views and apps menu by clicking on the down arrow placed on to the right of the Page's views and apps section. Users can then move around the position they'd like to place an app in and can then click on the pencil icon that appears. Also, users can choose the view or app they would like to place into that spot from the menu. Facebook also confirms that visitors to the pages with the Timeline feature, before the scheduled roll out will be able to see the page in the Timeline format.
