Sony's PS3 might have marginally outdone its rival Xbox 360 in terms of sales, but the battle is not yet over as Microsoft perpares to reveal the next-generation Xbox at its Washington headquarters later today.
The launch event will not only include the presentation of the next-generation Xbox, but will also act as a platform for the launch of some of the eagerly awaited games. It is understood that Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts will be given a full reveal, while other popular titles like FIFA 14 by EA Sports and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Black Flag will also feature in the launch event. EA Sports took to Facebook to make the announcement about FIFA 14's launch.

FIFA 14, already announced by EA Sports, includes several new features and developments that are expected to give the game a more realistic feel than the previous editions. These include Pure Shot and Real Ball Physics technology, which will help in making the game feel more real. Techniques like team-mate intelligence and ball protect are also expected to be seen with FIFA 14.
Unveiled on May 2, Call of Duty, a game belonging to the FPS genre developed by Infinity Ward, will see an official launch at the event. It's expected to pack a new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast; much of the game is expected to revolve around the use of masks. This version of the game will also feature the next-generation Call of Duty engine.
It is expected that both the games will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC as well as Microsoft and Sony's next-generation consoles. Though the launch date for the widely-played football game is not yet declared, football enthusiasts around the globe can expect to get their hands on the game in Q4 of this year.
