Yesterday, we told you about Mozilla Firefox’s latest Beta, version 8, for PCs. The beta features better sync and rendering and was supposed to release simultaneously with the Firefox Beta 3 for Android. Well, Android Market now has the Beta 3 for download.

Firefox now Market-ing

Because all of the earlier versions were released via the Mozilla website, this release marks the first time Firefox is available on the Android Market. Releasing through the Market ensures far smoother update delivery, so that should be a plus. However, the latest beta is only available for a certain few smartphones right now, though it will be made compatible with other phones soon. Here’s the list of supported phones:

  • HTC Desire
  • HTC Desire Z (T-Mobile G2)
  • HTC Desire HD
  • HTC Droid Incredible
  • HTC EVO 4G
  • HTC Nexus One
  • LG Optimus Z
  • Motorola Bravo
  • Motorola Droid 2
  • Motorola Droid X
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • Samsung i9000 Galaxy S (Captivate, Fascinate, Vibrant, Epic 4G)
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

If you have one of the above handsets, get downloading already!
