The Samsung Nexus Prime appears to be a phantom of sorts. Previously, there were just rumoured specifications as to what the flagship handset from Google would possess from an anonymous 4Chan member. This has changed slightly with GSMArena acquiring a leaked image of the Nexus Prime, which is set to be unveiled next week at the Samsung Unpacked event.
Nexus Prime featuring a curved body
From the image we can see that the upcoming smartphone from Samsung features a Super AMOLED display with an HD resolution of 720p measuring 4.6 inches diagonally. Through the leaked image, the text on the screen shows that it has a pixel density of 320ppi. The report goes on to mention that though this handset features an 1184 x 720 pixels resolution in the system information, it means that it is not including the status bar on the top of the display and the three soft buttons at the bottom. This handset reportedly has a 16:9 aspect ratio, with an effective resolution of 1280 x 720.
The report ends by stating that they have received word that this smartphone will not feature any physical keys on the front panel as it runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. It is said that this firmware of Android does not require any hardware controls to navigate through the user interface.
