A few days after Flipboard rolled out the much loved 2.0 update to Android, it has added a few new features to the iOS version of the app. This new major update includes new profile pages, better menu for sharing articles on social networks and SMS amongst other new features.
If you use Flipbaord on iOS, you’ll now have a shiny new profile page that will contain information about your readership and curation activity. There is a whole new section in Flipboard called the Friends category, situated in the Content Guide. Using this section, you’ll be able to discover magazines created by friends quickly.
Sparkling new profiles
The app now allows for faster and simpler sharing by selecting a social network in the share menu to access options easily. Even better, Flipboard for iOS now allows you to share stories and magazines with your family and friends using SMS text messaging.
Flipboard has added a great new feature to the app refresh that lets you save images directly to your device too. To save an image, tap the item’s share icon and click on “Save to Camera Roll”. There is also an improved navigation pane for folders in Google Reader RSS.
