If you were enamoured by the specifications of the Galaxy S4 Mini that were leaked a few days ago, then here’s some news to top that. Samsung is reportedly readying four versions of the Galaxy S4 Mini, according to information spotted by Twitter user st7761.

The user found the I9190 model number on Samsung’s support page, along with three other I919X devices. One is the I9192, a dual-SIM version of the S4 Mini which was leaked a few days ago. This could be called the Galaxy S4 Mini duos, as Samsung normally brands its dual-SIM handsets as such, and might be launched in India.

The other listings point to an LTE version of the S4 Mini with the model number I9195, as well as a China-bound S4 Mini with the model number I9198. The information has been taken down now, but more tidbits might emerge in the next few days.

The only other specifications of the Galaxy S4 Mini we know are from the earlier leak. According to that, the S4’s little brother will have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. That translates to a pixel density of 256ppi, which would make it a mid-range device on the lines of the current Galaxy S3 Mini.

The Galaxy S4 Mini, which might be announced around June or July this year, will reportedly run Android 4.2.2 and be powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, which is most likely the dual-core variant of the Exynos 4 SoC.

However, another rumour originating from Japanese blog RBmen says Samsung is developing a new SoC known as the Exynos 5210, which is part of the Exynos 5 series. Details are scarce at the moment, but the company is expected to be base the new SoC on the big.LITTLE technology in a quad-core structure. Unlike the Galaxy S4’s Exynos 5410 SoC, the 5210 will employ two dual-core processors with a dual-core Cortex A15-based processor handling the heavier tasks and a Cortex A7 dual-core CPU sipping on power when running less intensive tasks. It is thought that this 5210 SoC will power the HSPA+ variant of the Galaxy S4 Mini.

Samsung’s strategy with the Mini variants of its flagship phone has not been firing on all cylinders. The company had announced the S3 Mini last year, but despite high demand, the phone was not launched in India. The fact that the S4 Mini is close to an official announcement could mean that S3 Mini might not ever be made available officially in India, despite it selling in the grey market like hot cakes for Rs 17,000.
