After adding filters to improve Foursuare at discovering new places, Foursquare has now launched the new Time Machine feature. According to the Foursquare blog, it has introduced a nifty way to see your check-in history. The feature gives you a visual representation of all the places you have checked-in to and also shows which type of places you check-in to frequently.
So, if you checked into various places during your visit to a new city, you can come back and relive all those moments using the Foursquare Time Machine site. It shows a neat visualisation of the paths you traversed. In addition to this, the feature also helps you discover or predicts which places you should head to next. Users can even save and share infographics of the stats.
Check out the YouTube video uploaded by Pietro Zuco, which shows the new Time Machine feature.
While revisiting the places, the feature makes you look like a laser-beam. Though it looks like a quick laser-show while auto-playing the feature, it does allow users to use their keyboard and move from one place to another slowly. All this looks really cool if you are an avid Foursquare user who has checked into numerous places. Those who’ve checked into one or two places may not really be enthused with this feature.
