According to Digitimes, the 7-inch Android-based tablet PC will be targeted at the consumer market and will run on Android 3.1. They also said that the 7-inch tablet is likely to cost anywhere between $347 (Rs.16,600) to $694 (Rs.33,312) and that in order to offer such a price the company will outsource the production of the tablets to a Taiwan based manufacturer. Apart from the above, Fujitsu gave no other details but it did state that it is looking at a potential release date in the third quarter of 2011.

Fujitsu has already released a 10-inch tablet in the market. The device, called the LifeBook TH40/D, runs on Windows 7 OS and is powered an Intel Atom Z670 1.5 GHz processor. Fujitsu is looking at adding a stylus as well as 3.5G module to the LifeBook TH40/D in the future.
