It was reported yesterday that Samsung had intentionally delayed the launch of the Galaxy Nexus in India. This was done owing to the fact that the Indian market had been over-populated with smartphone launches in December. Last month, there were rumours floating around the Internet that the latest flagship handset from Google was set to be launched officially by the middle of this month, however, the handset is yet to make its official debut in India. According to a Twitter post by Samsung India, in reply to a follower inquiring about the launch date, the brand stated, “Nexus is expected to launch in the last week of January. Will let you know the exact date as we get more information.”

Confirmation from Samsung India

We knew the handset was delayed and set to be launched by January, but this is the first piece of concrete information regarding the time frame. There is no information as to how much the Galaxy Nexus would be priced at and we are sure that the information regarding it would be revealed before the official launch.
