With Google I/O kicking off today, a tear-down of the upcoming Google Allo v11 has emerged which reveals some of the upcoming features. Here is a quick look at what we can expect.

Firstly, there are the selfie-generated stickers which Google has been working on for some time now. This feature basically creates stickers based on your appearance. Once you hit the ‘generate a sticker pack’ in the app, you’ll be prompted to take a selfie with the front-facing camera view with a pair of glasses to fit your eyes in. After you take a picture, a sticker pack based on your looks is generated in a few minutes. You can redo the process if you are not happy with the results.

The new version of Allo will also introduce to make Duo calls right from conversations. There will be additional options which will let a user to easily make a Duo call from within the Allo app. Of course you need to have the Duo app installed or else you will be prompted to do so. It will also be able to invite people on your contacts list to download Duo.

For added convenience, Google is adding QR Codes for groups where your friends can scan a code and join your conversation and groups.

Lastly, Allo 11 will let you share groups’ links to people so they can join you and your friends. In case the link goes online for some reason, there is an option to reset it. This makes the first link inactive and you get a new link.

Apart from that, Google will also add settings for the Google Assistant inside the Allo app. Until now users could only change settings by going in to the Google Assistant app.

Thu update should hit the Play Store soon, but if you can’t wait for it, you can grab the APK from here.
