Earlier last week, a cyber attack of major magnitude gripped Dutch Information Technology company DigiNotar's systems. The hack resulted in the loss of the security certificates of several domains. Although on information the validity of the security certificates of all notified sites were put to an end – all, but one. Google.com, too had its security certificate hacked into, and the same wasn’t reported about immediately.

A preventive measure

It was only recently that the breach was taken a note of and revoked. Now in a bid to ensure security and to avoid any possibility of the hackers finding a link between the Gmail accounts and the PCs, Google has asked all their Iranian customers to reset their passwords. However, having said that, Google is stressing on the fact that their internal systems have faced no harm.
