Sticking true to its Christmas tradition, Google has released a pre-Xmas doodle to wish its users Happy Holidays. In what seems to be the first doodle in a line of many to come, a one-horse open sleigh is depicted on Google’s home page today.
The doodle looks a lot like a beautiful Christmas card that people would send to wish their family and friends Happy Holidays. It’s a snow-filled Christmas in the doodle with two kids riding the one-horse open sleigh, even as they pass trees that have lost their leaves. Hover over the doodle and Google will wish you Happy Holidays.
Over the weekend, Google released yet another doodle to put its users in the holiday mood. Celebrating winter solstice, the doodle showed a pair of hands knitting the word “Google” like it was some kind of a colourful glove. The doodle was an animated one, unlike the Happy Holidays one. Today’s Google Doodle seems to be static thanks to its similarity to a Christmas Card.
The Winter Solstice doodle
Google has stuck to its tradition of releasing a Christmas based doodle every year, since the past decade now. Last year Google’s homepage on Christmas Eve consisted of a parade of toys, each playing a different musical instrument. Hopefully, Google will have a few more doodles – especially for Christmas day and New Year – before the year ends.
