Last week, Google+ brought Hangouts to Android-based devices, enabling video chat on phones that ran Android 2.3 or higher and had front-facing cameras. Now, the Google+ app for iOS devices will also let you use Hangouts, provided users are using devices with front-facing cameras. In addition to adding Hangouts, the app update also brings improvements to the control of its various notifications. They've also renamed 'Huddle' to 'Messenger'. This service allows users to add pictures to chat threads.

The Google+ for iOS app is available for free from the iOS App Store.
