Google gave a run through of a Labyrinth style game using the ADK during the keynote. The Android Open Accessory and ADK will enable developers to create hardware accessories to be controlled by Android. The company hopes that the Android Development Kit will be used to expand the use of Android beyond mobile phones and tablets.

Speaking during the keynote, Andy Rubin, head of Google’s Android project said not to think of it as something they build but to think of it as something that you can use to expand what Android can do. After the keynote, in a press conference, he said that knowing what he knew internally, we are going to see some really cool things coming soon that would be connected to the ADK.

There is no announcement on the price or release of the ADK as of now.
