Google unveiled Business Photos for Google Maps. Business photos lets you see the insides of local businesses and buildings. Google's Vice President of Consumer Products, Marissa Mayer, made the announcement at Social-Loco in San Francisco. She demonstrated a video of how you can 'enter' local businesses and buildings via Google Maps. Businesses can send their photos to Google which can then be compiled into a 360 degree of the room's interior.

Rumours of features like these have been circulating a while. There was even a rumour that Google would be adding Street View like features to retail stores in Google Maps. Business photos of course would work well in restaurants where the ambience of the place can make or break a dinner experience. It could also work well for business that work as 'spaces' like art galleries, as well as the insides of hotels (although those pictures are already on their websites).
