This time, we’ll be presenting the award for the best 3D TVs, which fall in the high-end category. All these TVs have six-figure tags, and are usually objects of desire to people like me. But there’s no harm in taking a look, right?
LG Infinia 55LX9500 – First Place
This is definitely LG at the top of their game. I haven’t really seen anyone top this so far, and I’d love to see them try. I fell in love with this TV even before I’d unpacked it, as it is huge, looks absolutely stunning and has some incredible features such as DLNA media playback, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity with MKV playback. It has also given me hours of viewing pleasure with its awesome picture quality, and has the best 3d imaging I’ve seen so far. And although it does come with a very steep price tag of Rs. 2,45,000, this is definitely at the top of my list.
Sony Bravia 55HX800 – First Runner Up
This TV is as big and almost as beautiful as the LX9500, and it comes in at a respectable second place. This TV also has some great features and Sony’s advanced BRAVIA Engine 3 and Dynamic Edge LED backlighting also adds to the great picture quality. So if you are looking for a TV with great capabilities, this one will definitely make sure that you a lot of fun! The 55HX800 is priced at Rs. 2,59,900
Samsung UA40C7000 – Second Runner Up
This TV has definitely been designed really well and in a unique way. One thing I love about it is the stand, which literally ‘stands’ apart from the rest with its uber cool sci-fi design. Stepping aside from the stand, this TV has some great capabilities, and is especially great for watching HD animation movies and playing games in 3D. At Rs. 1,20,000, the UA40C7000 is the most affordable of the lot, making it a great buy.
Here are the technical specifications for you to go through:
So that wraps up our GOTY awards for the TV section, but keep your eyes peeled, as there’s lots more to come.
